Biography

My name is Anastasia Novitskaya, I am an artist who has been interested in drawing since childhood.

In 2015 I moved to Poland to devote myself entirely to art. Here I begin to study contemporary art, meeting local artists and learning new painting techniques.

In 2021, I moved to Genoa, Italy, where I became inspired by the sea and learned to convey the feeling of being close to it. My sunsets have become more sensual and brighter. Here, in the Palazzo Ducale, my first big exhibition took place. In 2023, I took part in the third annual PLA charity auction in Florida, USA. My works "Drifting" and "Staying Alive" were selected for the covers of Arboreal and Artwork Gallery magazines. In 2023 I received a silver award at J. Mane Gallery. And was chosen as one of the artists in the Orange book of Artnepreneur.

Today I turn to a current and relevant topic in my work - the future of our planet. Through my latest series of paintings called “Lost” I introduce a world that at first glance seems familiar and even cozy. But this world is deceiving. Each painting depicts an astronaut doing everyday things: having lunch in a cafe, swimming in the sea, reading a book. These scenes are filled with warmth and light, but only until we start looking at them more closely. Each painting reveals a poignant story of environmental degradation and human impact.

My series is designed to inspire laughter and contemplation, demonstrating the resilience of the human spirit while challenging us to reflect on the choices we make for the future of our planet. It is so important to draw humanity’s attention to our big problem, because we have no other planet.

My work reflects my constant search for myself and my place in this world. I believe that art is a way to convey feelings, connect us together and take communication to a new level - an emotional level.
